Our recent adventure to Mornington Peninsula was nothing short of magical. Nestled just an hour’s drive from Melbourne, this coastal gem offers a delightful blend of stunning landscapes, luxurious experiences, and quaint charm.

Hey Lykkers! Here’s a peek into our trip and why you should consider exploring this beautiful region.

Exploring Mornington Peninsula

Our journey began with a visit to the famous Peninsula Hot Springs, a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the area. This natural geothermal hot spring offers a rejuvenating experience with its range of pools and spas. Open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, it’s perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. Entry fees start at around AUD 40 for adults, and it’s wise to book in advance, especially on weekends.

Next, we ventured to the Arthurs Seat Eagle, a thrilling cable car ride that provided breathtaking panoramic views of the peninsula. The Eagle operates from 10 AM to 5 PM daily, and tickets are priced at AUD 38 for adults. The ride was a highlight of our trip, giving us a bird’s-eye view of the lush landscapes and sparkling coastline. It’s an experience that combines adventure with a stunning visual treat.

For those who enjoy a more laid-back activity, Red Hill Estate is a fantastic stop. This family-owned vineyard offers drinks tastings and picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. We spent a leisurely afternoon sipping their award drinks and enjoying a delicious cheese platter. The estate is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, and tastings are generally priced around AUD 10 per person, which can be redeemed against any drinks purchased.

Where to Stay

To make the most of our stay, we chose The Mantons Creek Estate & Lodge, an idyllic retreat nestled in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula drinks region. This charming lodge offers cozy rooms with scenic views, and it’s ideally located for exploring nearby attractions. Room rates start at AUD 180 per night, and the lodge also features a delightful on-site restaurant that serves local produce and drinks. The warm hospitality and serene environment made our stay truly memorable.

Lykkers, Mornington Peninsula offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. From soothing hot springs and exhilarating cable car rides to delightful drink tastings and cozy accommodations, it’s a destination that caters to a wide range of interests.
