Hockey is a small, adversarial ball game in which each team uses hockey to hit the ball and work together to score points on a rectangular lawn. Because it is generally played on the grass, it is also called "grass hockey".

Hockey originated in Persia in 2000 BC and later spread to Greece. In the second half of the 19th century, modern hockey began in England. In 1861, the first hockey club was established.

The highest organization of hockey is the International Hockey Federation, which was established in Paris, France in 1924, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, and later moved to Lausanne, Switzerland.

Compared to other sports like basketball, football, etc., there are not many people who play hockey. This sport is still very attractive and very exercise. Learn about its rules.

Rule one.

A hockey game is divided into 2 teams of 11 players each. The purpose of each team is to attack the ball to the opposing goal, similar to the rules of basketball.

The half-time of the game is 35 minutes, divided into two halves. During the game, except the goalkeeper, the rest of the players can only hit the ball with the racket, and must not hit the ball with any part of the body intentionally. If you do this on purpose, you will be punished.

The goalkeeper can use any part of his body to stop a goal from within the shooting area.

At the start of the game, the captains of the two teams toss a coin. The winning team can choose to start the offense. The teams switch positions in the second half, and the team that did not kick off in the first half will kick off at halftime.

Rule two.

On the field, the ball may be struck off the sideline, and the opponent will then return the ball to a teammate to resume play. Conversely, if the offensive player hits the ball outside the end line, there will be a defensive player hitting the ball to resume play.

If both sides foul, or a player is injured or otherwise interrupted, a scrimmage is required to restart the game. But the venue of the match must be chosen by the referee.

The ball will be placed between one player on each side, and the other players must stand 5 meters away when they grab the ball.
