Many people who like Hydrangea like to turn the flowers of Hydrangea into blue. The reason why hydrangea flower color can be changed is that the plant contains a kind of delphinidin. When delphinidin encounters free aluminum ions in the soil, it can make the flowers blue.

If you want to turn Hydrangea flowers into blue, you should ensure that these two conditions are met. First, the soil should be acidic. In alkaline or neutral soil, even if there is aluminum ion, it is not easy to for Hydrangea to bloom blue flowers. Second, you should supplement aluminum ion for the plant. Only when these two conditions are met, Hydrangea can bloom blue flowers.

If you want Hydrangea to have blue flowers, you should use acidic soil when cultivating them. You can use more humus soil rich in nutrients. At ordinary times, you can also apply more organic fertilizer that is fully fermented and decomposed, or you can pour more thin alum fertilizer water on it to make the soil acidic. In this way, it is easier to make Hydrangea bloom bright blue flowers.

When Hydrangea sprout new buds and start to grow new leaves, supplement them with aluminum sulfate. Adjust the aluminum sulfate into an aqueous solution in the ratio of 1:1000, and directly pour it into the flowerpot. Pour it once every ten days or so until the plants grow flower buds. In this way, at the flowering stage, the plants can bloom blue flowers.

Although not all varieties of hydrangeas can be changed their flowers colors, most domestic hydrangeas can. As long as the plant is raised in loose and fertile acid soil, when the plant grows new buds, apply more acid fertilizer to it and supplement aluminum sulfate for several times, and the plant will bloom beautiful blue flowers at the flowering stage.
