The latest study found that mosquitoes will follow the smell to find the object of the bite because the human skin secretion of acidic substances particularly "mosquitoes".

According to the British "Daily Mail" reported on the 19th, researchers at Rockefeller University in New York to 64 volunteers for a "mosquitoes" experiment. Volunteers first nylon stockings on the forearms, so that they are stained with body odor.

Then scientists put these stockings in a container and release mosquitoes, to observe whose stockings are most favored by mosquitoes. After several experiments, scientists found that some socks are particularly "mosquitoes.

The first place mosquito attraction ability is the last place of 100 times. Scientists analyzed the volunteers' skin and found that the "mosquito" skin will secrete more acidic substances. Bacteria on the skin will eat these acids and create a unique smell, which attracts more mosquitoes. However, these acids are also vital to skin health.

The scientists noted that the study may help find new ways to repel mosquitoes. For example, changing the bacteria on the skin, thus reducing the release of these mosquito-recruiting odors.

Epidemiologists and microbiologists have done an extensive research to summarize some of the factors that tend to attract mosquitoes.

Carbon dioxide: mosquitoes have an extreme sensitivity to carbon dioxide in upper jaw tentacles. The more carbon dioxide produced by the person, the more attractive mosquitoes are. Usually the larger the size of the person, the more metabolic, the more carbon dioxide exhaled, and the more mosquitoes. This is why, on the whole, children are less likely to be bitten by mosquitoes than adults.

Skin temperature, lactic acid content, and uric acid content: Some studies show that higher body temperature of people is more attractive to mosquitoes. Mosquitoes also like the smell of lactic acid and uric acid emitted from the skin. While the amount of uric acid produced by the skin is the result of genetics and cannot be controlled, lactic acid is produced in large quantities after exercise.

Group of skin flora: In 2011, researchers at Wageningen University in the Netherlands published a study showing that certain parasitic bacteria of the skin are a powerful bait to attract mosquitoes. They found that the skin flora species is relatively single, but the amount of skin flora is more likely to attract mosquitoes.

High hormones or high cholesterol: People with high hormone and cholesterol levels are more attractive to mosquitoes. This is not to say that mosquitoes can tell who has hypercholesterolemia. Rather, it is because people with hypercholesterolemia have a more vigorous process of processing cholesterol, which produces certain components that attract mosquitoes to remain on the surface of the body.

Genetic factors: Studies have pointed out that, whether easy to attract mosquitoes, genetic factors accounted for 85%. That is, you may be born with mosquito bites. This no one can complain, have to resign themselves to fate. This 85% may be because of the skin secretion of chemical composition, attracting mosquitoes.
