1.Extreme Sports Desert Marathon


Even four or five hours of continuous running on urban roads with beautiful environment, flat terrain and pleasant climate is not a small challenge for most people, let alone a week-long trek in the hot, arid, and extremely harsh Sahara Desert. . The Sahara Desert Marathon (Marathon des Sables, MDS for short) is an ultra-marathon event held in the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco, usually held in April every year. The race lasts for 7 days and the total distance is about 250 kilometers, which is equivalent to 6 traditional marathons. The Sahara Desert during the competition has entered a hot summer, with an average daytime temperature of 30°C and a high of 40°C at noon. The terrain is very harsh, with only a small amount of sand dunes, most of which are Gobi Desert with gravel and even rock-lined hillsides. Contestants also need to bring equipment on the road, including food, medicine, water, tents, etc., with an average load of 10 kilograms.

At the other end of Inner Mongolia, the grassland has been replaced by yellow sand. As the second largest desert in China and the fourth largest desert in the world, the Alxa Desert is located here.
